3. Is there a word count limit for submissions?
Yes. We recommend keeping your story between 800 and 1,500 words. However, exceptional pieces outside this range may also be considered.
4. Can I submit more than one story?
Absolutely! You are welcome to submit multiple stories, either at once or over time. Each submission will be reviewed individually.
5. Do I need to be a professional writer?
Not at all. We welcome both new voices and seasoned writers. What matters most is your honesty, clarity, and emotional impact.
6. Can I include a photo with my memoir?
Yes. If you’d like to share a photo that enhances your story (and you own the rights), feel free to include it. This is optional but appreciated.
7. Will my story be edited?
Our editorial team may make light edits for grammar, structure, or clarity. We’ll never change the essence of your story. If significant edits are needed, we may reach out before publishing.
8. Do you notify me if my story is selected?
Yes. You will receive an email confirmation if your story is selected for publication on MemoirDiary.com.
9. Will I get paid for my submission?
Currently, we do not offer monetary compensation. However, we provide a platform for your voice to be heard and shared with a growing audience, and we credit every contributor.
10. Can I republish my story elsewhere?
Yes. You retain full rights to your story. We only ask that you credit MemoirDiary.com as the original place of publication if you do repost it.
11. How do I submit my memoir?
Visit our Submit Page and complete the form. Alternatively, you can email your story to submit@memoirdiary.com with “Memoir Submission” as the subject line.
12. Can I remain anonymous?
Yes, if you prefer to publish anonymously or under a pen name, just let us know in your submission. Your privacy matters to us.
13. Can I share someone else’s story?
Only if you have explicit permission and it’s written in a respectful, truthful manner. Otherwise, we only accept personal memoirs written by the person who experienced them.
